Industry NewsBrandPost: To Beat Today’s Data Management Complexity, We Need a New Approach - EverOrange Partners

November 19, 2021

Not a day goes by that we don’t come across a business article discussing the benefits of data and its ability to transform organizations. We read about a new world of possibilities, with data ushering in new customer experiences and powering the next wave of applications that will connect data to insights — and to outcomes. But the disparity between where organizations are today on their transformation journeys, and where they want to go, is growing, and it’s a reason for concern. What stands in the way of innovation is complexity — a complexity that spans people, process, and technology, and it’s rooted in how data and data infrastructure are managed. What does that look like? A recently completed ESG study found that among organizations, 93% of IT decision makers see storage and data management complexity impeding digital transformation. As an example of that overhead, on average these organizations rely on 23 different data management tools! The 8-Bit Orange in the Maelstrom

Our 8-Bit Orange is an homage to the era when our company’s founders first fell in love with technology, which at the time meant Atari, ColecoVision, Mario & Zelda, the Apple II, and the Oregon Trail. It is a reminder of the alpha, the first star in our technological constellation and the legacy from which we come.

Technology advisory and management as a vocation is a constantly evolving game that, like those early days, can be played but never mastered. Thinking back to those 8-bit origins, we maintain that sense of play in our work, despite constant challenges and the massive scale of solving problems for corporations.

Additionally, most depictions of the electromagnetic and gravitational pull of supermassive black holes are orange. Our 8-Bit Orange lives in the maelstrom of a constantly shifting marketplace. Curbing the confused movement and turmoil of that change is our mission. We aim to create enough gravity to pull in the best minds in historically disparate businesses, to benefit our clients, partners, contractors, employees, and stakeholders
